Tumblr Visitor Retention

A visitor comes to your tumblog or in my case accidently stumbles upon it, how do you keep them there I hear you ask?! You could get on all fours and bark like a dog whilst simultaneously juggling 6 knives! Alternatively try adding these gems to your theme armoury:

This will display a link which says “Random Post” once clicked on it will take your intrepid visitor to a random post:

<a href=”/random”>Random Post</a>

OR

This is something a little more flashy. It displays a link which reads “Random Page” once clicked it teleports your visitor to another dimension…not really, it just displays a random page from your tumblog:

I’ve just got them as links in my poor excuse for a menu, I might try something altogether fancy with them at a later date.
